Okay, I realize that this is my third post about global warming, but I just can't help it. The supreme court has rendered an opionion about global warming that goes one step further to legitimitize the weak science behind the concept.
Today, the court ruled that the EPA cannot ignore car and truck emissions in the Clean Air Act. Specifically, Justice Stephens said in the majority opinion, "A well-documented rise in global temperatures has coincided with a significant increase in the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere."
So, I guess the next logical step is what? We can't stop the vehicles on today's roads stop spitting out carbon dioxide. In fact the only fuel that doesn't produce CO2 is Hydrogen. (Which is not particularly easy to use as fuels go.)
More significantly, the supreme court has just made global warming official in the United States.
I guess my cap and trade idea really could make me rich if every schlub had to pay a CO2 tax at the pump to be used in carbon offsets.
I better get busy.

Carbon dioxide released by man near ground level is heavier than air and sinks in air rather than rising up to the upper atmosphere to become a so-called greenhouse gas. While sinking, it stratifies from air. After sinking and stratifying, it tends to remain close to the ground and may find its way down to low-lying water bodies or down to ocean level where it can mix and react with water to form weak carbonic acid. Carbon dioxide is also removed from the lower atmosphere by rainfall.
Weak science? WHY... am I not surprised. How is it the majority of scientist in the field believe the globe is warming up and that humans are causing it? What would be weak is the limited number of corporate hack scientists usually working for a gas company that have been fighting Global Warming science for years.
Do you remember the Global Climate Coalition? That industry funded front to combat the science of global warming? The GCC was funded by just about every oil company on the planet. So what happened to them? Oh, that's right, the science was so compelling that oil companies had to start admitting there was a problem and stopped funding the GCC which is now defunct.

People breathe O2 and blow off Co2. Is the increase in th world's population causing some of the warming? Do you contribute to some of that? I aid nothing about what Homosexuals do in the privacy of their home. I think homosexuality is not something I am interested in but realize that the laws are created by the religious right and do not stop the activity, only punish the guilty. If we said everyone with more than two children were illegal (China comes to mind where the limit 1) what would you do? I think the bible says hate the sin not the sinner.
